About Your First 90 Days

When someone asks me what "Your First 90 Days" is about I've told them about the book series. Really though, Your First 90 Days is about any transition period between one state of being and another.

I first became interested in transitions during college while involved with the Wilderness Psychology program at the university I attended.

We noticed that the time immediately following an extended period in the wilderness was often problematic.  Requiring changing your life in "culture" to allow for the changes that had occurred in the wild, it was necessary to make adjustments in one’s life if they were to make these changes permanent.  I was just listening to a talk by Jack Kornfield and he was mentioning this as being a challenge for people after a transformative retreat as well.

What I've learned is that this is what it's like during the transitions that occur whenever a significant change happens in our lives. These times of transition are what Your First 90 Days is really about.  The series offers to you ideas, tips, and practices that will be helpful to you as you adjust to a new lifestyle, regardless of why the shift in your life is occurring. Often, early recovery from addiction is a significant time of change. 

Your First 90 Days is a guided practice of taking 3 months of your life to learn new information, get important tools to keep yourself healthy, motivated, and committed and enough time to establish a new lifestyle! 

Although the first book & program is specifically to help those during recovery from addiction, we know that recovery doesn't occur separately from the rest of one's life, just as transitions happen equally for people who aren't in recovery.  This book can be helpful for anyone going through major life changes.  Also, please feel free to contact me below for more information regarding how my services can assist & support you in navigating life's challenges and changes.

Your First 90 Days are a series of daily lessons that guide and teach you helpful tools on how to take care of yourself during these periods of transition, whoever you are and regardless of how you were or who you are becoming.

Sometimes, we find ourselves living a life experience that is not what we had hoped for; one that is filled with pain and suffering.  These lessons will teach you how to allow these significant events to not simply be a place of pain, but to be the fire of transformation where you will burn away all that is keeping you from the life you desire and deserve.
